Funding Opportunities

Centrelink, not Ozetrainer, administers payments for students qualifying for financial assistance to study under:

  • Youth Allowance
  • Austudy
  • ABSTUDY
  • Pensioner Education Supplement (PES)
  • Parenting Payment - if you have negotiated study time as part of participation requirements.

Centrelink requires that you meet the weekly study workloads and/or course duration limits that they negotiate with you. This will differ from the general course time frames set by Ozetrainer.
Once enrolled Centrelink will regularly check your enrolment status and progress if you:

  • are receiving a payment to study or
  • have nominated study as part of your participation requirements for Parenting Payment.

To avoid a debt, you need to:

  • make satisfactory progress
  • meet the time frame you have negotiated with Centrelink. As a general rule you must submit at least one learning activity or more per week.
  • let Centrelink know if you make any changes to your study progress or if your personal circumstances change.

Some Centrelink benefit recipients may be eligible for an Education Entry Payment to assist them with the costs of returning to study.
