Tanya Murray | MT in Training, Melbourne | “Tuned in to Ozetrainer” | Hearing about the Ozetrainer course on the radio changed my life forever. I’m a mum to 4 young children and thought I would never be able to find a job that would fit in around the needs of my family. Being able to work from home is the answer to my prayers. I love all things medical, so training to be an MT is perfect for me. Studying at home around family can be difficult, but it’s good preparation for being a successful independent contractor. There’s a great network of students to provide support and encouragement, and I’ve made some wonderful new friends along the way. The course is very interesting, challenging, and thoroughly enjoyable. I’m looking forward to graduating and starting my career and I’m confident that completing this course will ensure I’m well prepared for the work ahead. |

Lois Zieball | Wartina, Victoria | “I have been an MT with Ozetrainer for almost six years” | I did the Ozetrainer in-house Transcription Technology course and I have been an MT with Ozetrainer for almost six years. I think it is the perfect job. I love being home alone and having the flexibility to decide the best days for me to work. It allows me to pursue my other passion - golf. I started my career at the Royal Melbourne Hospital many years ago working in the Department of Medicine, Anatomical Pathology and then in administration. |

Jenny Nadin | “There has not been a day that I have regretted my decision to participate in this course” | I am English, having moved to Australia (Melbourne subs) a little under 2 years ago. I am here with my husband, Andrei, who is a producer in computer games and our two children, Chayto who is nearly 15 and Echota-Star who has just turned 11. As I do not have a network of close family here to help with the kids during school holidays, sickness etc, I thought it would be a good idea to look into working from home. While searching for something that involved the medical field (I have always been fascinated by it and an unfilled ambition was to become a paramedic, before I had my children), I literally stumbled across Ozetrainer while surfing the net and knew it would be perfect for me. I had been an audio typist in my far distant past and also been a dental nurse in the 80s and had enjoyed both. I started the course in March 2007 - yeah, I am not the quickest to get through it but have tried to create a balance with it, so as not to resent it, allowing for all the usual time-consuming activities that children are involved in, and also continuing with my hobbies such as running (which is my passion), yoga, hiking, cycling etc. I have actually finished the coursework and am now revising like fury to take the exam. During the last 16 months, friends and family are surprised to hear that, although I am constantly saying “well, MUST get back to my studies”, there has not been a day that I have regretted my decision to participate in this course, I absolutely love the challenge of it, and can’t wait to start work. I have found the support system to be extremely professional but the personal community feel of it has appealed to me too, it’s just good to be a part of it. In retrospect, If I was to change one small thing about taking on this course it is that I wish I had been a little more focused at the beginning of it and treated it more like a job, committing to fixed hours and not allowing myself to get side-tracked at times, but maybe I would not be loving it quite so much if I had sacrificed the flexibility of studying from home at my own pace AND having a life, which has been great!

Kay Leck | “There are such wonderful support networks available” | What do you do when your partner has gone off to work, the kids have all left home and gone their separate ways and you are left to ponder your activities for the day ahead? Well, I found myself in this predicament having just moved back to Melbourne from Queensland and spending far more time indoors than ever before and also caring for my elderly parents. I discovered Ozetrainer and after making appropriate enquiries, passing their relevant contractor requirements I found myself being able to again look at a career which would see me happily busy through the day and earning some extra money in the meantime. As you will see from my photo, I have used some of my earnings for a long awaited trip to New Zealand last year. This would not have been possible without my extra money coming into the household and I thank Ozetrainer for the opportunity to do this. I have found the support and caring that is granted to you when working alongside the very professional Ozetrainer network of people to be unsurpassed. Someone is always willing and able to help you through a rough spot, either with your work or in your life. It is great to know that there are such wonderful support networks available to you when you are an independant contractor with Ozetrainer. I value my time with Ozetrainer and look forward to an ongoing commitment from both parties to make the future bright for all of us. Sincerest thanks to all at Ozetrainer.

Belinda Lawrie | “Ozetrainer has offered the best of both worlds” | Ozetrainer has offered the best of both worlds for me. As a mother of four very young children, I get to keep up-to-date with the profession I love, while choosing the hours that suit my family. I cannot think of many jobs that are flexible enough to allow this. Every shift is different, never boring and there are always new things to learn and build upon. The team are super friendly and very helpful and quality, timely support is never far away. I believe it truly is the dream job for me.

Baila Twerski | “I recently joined Ozetrainer and I feel like I joined a family” | I have been a medical transcriptionist for over three years. I recently joined Ozetrainer and I feel like I joined a family. The professionalism along with the warmth and the friendliness make Ozetrainer a pleasure to work for. Their helpful and informational web site as well as the feedback shared by all, enriches my knowledge. As a mother of three, it is wonderful to be able to work from home and living in Israel makes no difference as I just choose my own hours to work.

Melanie Blake | “I absolutely love the flexibility” | I absolutely love the flexibility allowing me to roster my hours around my family. I really enjoy the variety of typing for a few different clients and not listening to the same voice over and over. Like with any job you need to get to know your way around but once I got to know my clients and the general rules it became a breeze.

Deb Melrose | MT/QA Sunshine Coast Queensland | “This is a most rewarding, yet unique work experience” | I started out as a Repat trained Enrolled Nurse with experience working all over Australia and Palm Island. I have been proudly providing MT services to my clients, Ozetrainer and their clients since 2004. I enjoyed the orientation/mentoring process and believe it was the key to my success. I enjoy the challenge of learning something new everyday and I now enjoy providing education support to new MTs through QA services. This is a most rewarding, yet unique work experience for which I am truly grateful to be a part of. I wish you all well with your future endeavours with Ozetrainer it is a wonderful alliance. |

Jill Meehan | “My only regret is that I did not discover Ozetrainer and medical transcription sooner” | I successfully completed the Ozetrainer Training course and graduated in December 2007. I started working for Ozetrainer in January 2008. I have been working for Ozetrainer for 7½ months now and I absolutely love it! It is great to be able to just jump out of bed, get the kids off to school/kinder and then log in and begin work for the day, from home, doing something that I enjoy immensely. The flexibility of hours is great as I am able to choose which hours I want to work to fit in with my lifestyle. Also, if the kids have a sports day coming up or if something unforeseen crops up, I am generally able to schedule my roster to accommodate it. My only regret is that I did not discover Ozetrainer and medical transcription sooner, as then I could have worked from home when my three children were younger. All in all, the decision to sign up for the Ozetrainer course was the best decision I could have made and I do not regret it for one minute. |
